Thank you to those who joined us for “Morning With the Pastors!” It was a blessing to see so many new faces, and to share the vision of comprehensive discipleship through biblical counseling. We heard an overview from Pastor Jason Blackley from Grace Community Church about what Biblical Counseling is, and Pastor Dave Kirk from Grace  elaborated on the topic of how biblical counseling is a key part of the discipleship process. Then, Trisha Young from Stonebridge church gave us insight into biblical counseling from the perspective of a layperson, as someone who first received and is now giving biblical counsel to others. Pastor Jason Poling from Stonebridge let us know about the benefits of connecting with another church, and Jason Blackley told the group about training opportunities, including the regional biblical counseling conference coming to North Liberty this fall. Pastor Dave closed with an invitation to join the EIBCC for our monthly training meetings on the third Thursday each month, which we hope you will consider! It is a joy to see how the Lord is working in the Eastern Iowa and upper Midwest areas, and we are so excited for the plans he has in store as we seek to equip churches for discipleship to the glory of God!
